Pocket PC… WTF?!
So why the bloody hell did I just buy a pocket PC, and more importantly why am I posting it on my HK evo build blog? I will tell you why. This little pocket PC I bought off craigslist for really cheap is going to do a whole lot. First a pocket PC is basically a computer, just smaller. Haha now you know, and knowing is half the battle.
Anyway you can surf the internet via wifi, watch videos, play mp3’s, etc, etc. Everything a computer can do, it can pretty much do. Including emulators, to play any game, from any system. It also has blueteeth (I like to call it that because it annoys people), so it can communicate with my wireless 10 Hz GPS receiver pictured below. So now I just need to add a navigation software, and will I will have a portable GPS device also. What I really bought this pocket PC for though, is to run MaxQData.
With MaxQData I will be able to data log and read:
- Lateral and Longitudinal acceleration up to 4g
- Speed and Distance
- Horsepower
- In car lap and segment times
- Altitude
- Satellite count
- Turn radius
- 1/4 mile timeslips
- Track maps
- Friction circle plots
- Coastdown and braking measurements
All logged with up to 10 Hz sampling.
I know there are other data loggers and in car lap timers, but A) they cost more B) most don’t offer 10 Hz sampling and C) you can’t play super mario on them while you are waiting at the bus stop.
CyberEvo going through the esses!

No light and no flash.

Two more and I can buy a snickers. I’m dead serious too.
